The Mauritius Telecom World Corporate Golf Challenge was held on Saturday 15th June at Heritage Golf Club, Bel Ombre and the grand winner of this prestigious event is Roshan Koonja, from Constance Hotels Services Ltd. He will be representing Mauritius at the World Finals in Cascais, Portugal, from 3rd to 7th July 2019. His prize was presented to him by the Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Telecom, Sherry Singh. The second prize was awarded to Daniel d'Arifat and Alexandre Piat was ranked third.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge is the largest corporate golf tournament in the world and since its inception, nearly three decades ago, over one million golfers have competed across the globe for a chance to represent their company and country at the World Finals.
The CEO of Mauritius Telecom thanked the VIPs of the corporate world for participating in the tournament and the organisers for giving Mauritius Telecom the opportunity to form part of this prestigious event.
In his speech, Sherry Singh recalled that in just four years, Mauritius Telecom has placed Mauritius as the 8th most fibered country in the world, after China and Japan. The management, he said, is steering the company towards growth and service, and Mauritius Telecom is leading again in terms of innovation and social responsibility.
Concerning businesses, the CEO said that Mauritius Telecom is currently working on seamless connectivity so that wherever they are business persons are connected. The company is also working on services that go beyond connectivity. Moreover, MT is moving more towards an OPEX based model for businesses so that they can get access to the latest technologies at a lower cost of entry; they can start small and scale very fast.
Mauritius Telecom is taking care of all the communication and connectivity and business persons can focus on their businesses. "We shall continue striving to do our best to allow you to be your best," he concluded.
