How to enable SMTP Authentication for Android Mail app

Step 1

Open Mail App and select Gear symbol (Settings)

Step 2

Select email account concerned

Step 3

Select ‘Server settings’.

Step 4

Enable ‘Require authentication to send emails’ and input your username (full address) & password. Click on ‘Done’
