Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth pays tribute to late Shrimati Sushma Swaraj
The Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth signed the Condolence Book at the High Commission of India, in Port Louis, following the demise of Shrimati Sushma Swaraj, the former Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India and expressed "our country's condolences to her family and to the Government and people of India for the loss of a remarkable lady who was also a great friend of Mauritius". Several Ministers and other personalities also paid tribute to the former Indian Minister on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister pointed out the essential role that Shrimati Sushma Swaraj had played in various projects and in the support Mauritius obtained from India in taking our country to its next level of economic and social development. She also greatly contributed in consolidating the bilateral and diplomatic relations between Mauritius and India and will remain a strong inspiration for many across the world, he said.
